This qualification is accredited by the National Open College Network and the learner will achieve a level 2 qualification. Held over 3 workshops, candidates must attend all 3 to achieve the qualification.
The learner will
1. Understand the procedures of exporting goods and services
- Raise a quotation based upon given criteria
- Describe a relevance of Harmonised System Commodity codes and Customs
- Procedure notes to specified goods
- Choose the most appropriate INCOTERM 2010
- Complete relevant export documents
- Describe different methods of payment available on a given specific shipment
- Describe the cases for charging and zero rating Value Added Tax on invoices
2. Know how to proceed with a customs audit
- Describe how to plan for a customs audit
- Outline how to be a compliant company
- Describe how to self audit
- Outline standard procedures for company's own audit
- Describe documents which should be retained for audit purposes
3. Understand export operational procedures
- Describe international trade controls
- Sanctions
- Embargos
- Licensing
- Intellectual property
- Describe different modes of international logistics
- Produce a cost evaluation for different types of procedures
- Outline methods of payment available based on given criteria
- Describe the advantages and disadvantages of each method of payment
