Overview
Whatever our line of business or occupation, and whatever our position in the organisation, we all have targets to achieve. Our managers set targets for us, and we set targets for our teams. Getting the level and balance right is crucial. Targets that are too low will be too easily achieved and soon appear trivial. Targets set too high and out of reach my equally cause a lack of drive, and even worse, we may see everyone in the team working to different standards and watch them pull it apart at its seams. Even if we manager to get everyone on board with their performance targets, there may be one individual whose behaviour or attitude threatens to disrupt the team. How do you set them a target to change?And then, just when everything seems to be on course, there are the setbacks and pitfalls that get in the way. How we and our teams overcome the obstacles in the pathway to the goals is crucial. There are key skills which can be developed in order for us all to become higher achievers. The traditional techniques we use in setting out to achieve goals are tried and tested, and are reviewed in this highly interactive one-day course. In addition, participants are offered the opportunity to explore a practical approach using new and inspirational skills, which will enable them personally to overcome obstacles and achieve even greater heights, as well as directing and inspiring their teams to do the same.
